Apple's "Let's Rock" Event

Apple has invited members of the media to an event at the Yerba Buena
Center for the Arts at 10am PST on September 9, 2008. The invitation
for the "Let's Rock" event had a clear iPod theme. It is widely
expected that Apple will introduce new iPods- specifically a taller
redesigned iPod nano and a new iPod touch. A new version of iTunes is
expected and there have been reports of new MacBooks and MacBook Pros
(which saw minimal revisions ahead of the education buying season) on
the way, which could possibly be announced at the event on Tuesday.
The media will no doubt be scrutinizing and speculating about Steve
Jobs' health at the event after all the coverage and controversy that
arose over the summer over the way that Apple handled the question of
Steve Jobs' health following WWDC 2008, Apple's third quarter
conference call where one analyst raised the question and then Steve
Jobs phoning John Markoff of the New York Times to talk about his
health, something that is very near and dear to the portfolios of
Apple's shareholders. Everything will begin at 10am PST tomorrow
morning.
